About Design Valley

It’s more than designing buildings
The work we do together is about designing lifestyles and environments to enhance the quality of life for those who inhabit them.
Our process centres around you, the client—your involvement fosters a sense of ownership and pride in the outcome.
We bring ideas to life, but our primary goal is to create a home that pairs with the way you like to live your day-to-day.
End-to-end service
for all
From the initial aspirations to the final decor piece, our team of professionals designs your space, collaborates with those involved in development, and ensures all projects not only fulfill your desires, but also conform to building codes and bylaws.
We can provide floor plans, elevation drawings, section detailing, and 3D renderings — giving a comprehensive visual of what your home will look like long before construction starts, and the sod is turned.

Meet Our Designers

Peter Valiquet
Peter Valiquet is an accredited member of the Association of Architectural Technologists ofOntario (M.A.A.T.O.) and a registered designer with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. With over a decade of hands-on experience in custom home building and renovations, he brings both technical expertise and creative vision to every project.
Holding a Building Code Identification Number (BCIN) with qualifications in House, Small Building, and Large Building categories, Peter is highly proficient in the Ontario Building Code and municipal zoning regulations. He has successfully secured building permits across Ontario and is known for producing clear, precise construction drawings that are as functional as they are visually intelligible.
A graduate of Algonquin College’s Architectural Technology program, Peter began his career working with a range of architectural, interior design, and landscape firms in Ottawa, contributing to diverse residential and commercial projects. In 2017, he co-founded Design Valley to focus more deeply on residential architecture—bringing together his appreciation for both traditional and contemporary design.
Peter is recognized not only for his technical accuracy but also for his collaborative, down-to-earth approach. Homeowners, builders, tradespeople, and municipal officials alike value his ability to navigate complex projects with professionalism, creativity, and clear communication.
For Peter, the greatest reward lies in watching a design take shape in the real world—transforming from plan to place—and in knowing it will serve his clients well for years to come.
